Deb, Thanks for your reply. Did you start to lose weight again? Are you at goal? Why did you try it? I didn't do the protein shakes. I did the protein hot chocolate but I have to admit I am hungry. I will tuff it out. I get to eat soft protein on day 3. The scales this a.m. said I lost 4 .5 lbs but I know that is water weight. I want to see the results after the 5 days. See you lighter. Joanne
Joanne, I'm gonna have to start all over again. I did great until 12:30. It was the 100th B-day of a resident at Forwood Manor and I blew it. They had a luncheon for everyone, I forgot all about. I'll do it again the end of the week. I had all my protein drinks lined up and I was hell bent on the water intake. I agree with the potty part. I was lucky I didn't have to cook diner for my DH, he was out for a meeting and diner which if I could have done it this would have been the week. He is out again Thursday night too.
Tomorrow night is Healthy Beginning's meeting and we are having a PotLuck dinner. Soooooo, looks like I'll start on Friday again. Darn I really wanted to do this with ya. Keep up the good job. If I could just crawl up and read a good book and have the rest of the family go away for a couple of days it would be so much easier.
I did make it to "Partners in Change " on Tuesday night. I really missed the meetings over the summer. It was a small intimate group and I just love Margaret for doing this for us oldies. Head stuff is so interesting.

Elissa, I missed the partners in change meeting. I didn't have it on my calendar. When is the next one? I love those meetings. I can't come the the Healthy Beginning's meeting tonight because it is the Jewish Holiday but I can't wait to start coming to those again also. I missed them over the summer. Take care. Ellen
Elissa, What is Partners in Change? Today was day 3. I lost another 4 lbs so that makes it 8. This morning I woke up with charlie horses in my right leg. I was excited for I acyually got to eat today. I had eggs with zuccini, peppers and onions. salsa on top for breakfast and lunch. Don't know if this was ok or not for sure. i also had an orange for snack. I am having tuna and tomato for dinner. I hope I am doing this right. I want to see the end results in 5 days. "Partners in Change" is Psychologicsl Support after WLS. Dr. Margaret Keenan, PMRI, saw the emotinal struggles that we deal with post-surgery. Focus is on staying positive, strong and commited to maintaining weight loss and enjoying improved health and quality of life.
We meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month at PMRI. 6:30 til 7:30. Pre-reservation is required to reserve a space as seating is limited. No charge for Christiana Care patients, $25 for all others. 302-661-3000 to register.

Elissa, Thanks for the information . I will check into attending. My co pays are $25 anyway so I think it is worth it if it helps. Ok , my week is over. I messed up on the 5th day. Ate a couple of bites of the pioson ( carbs ) . Debbie had a cook out with seafood. I ate crabs and shrimp but then I had a handful of puffin corn and chocolate. I ended up with a 5.5 lb loss in weight and yes you do get that fullness feeling back again. I think I am going to try doing this once a month. I will try to eat healthy most of the time with my protein, veggies and fruit. I know I can do this but it is all up to me and me alone. Take care. I'll be at Victory tomorrow night for the meeting.
