End of the season Beach Bash!
Some friends from another WLS messageboard and I are looking at getting together down in Rehobeth/Dewey the weekend on 9/22.
Anybody from here interested?
I've got about 15 ppl (so far) interested from the other board from all over (MD, PA, NY, NYC, NJ, MA). It'll be a great opportunity to meet others from outside this board who are in all different stages of their WLS journeys.
Something very informal. Maybe hang together somewhere on the beach for the day on Sat. Dinner somewhere Sat Night, shopping at the outlets or beach again Sunday. Toss in a nice stroll on the boardwalk somewhere in the mix.
Everyone who is interested, please PM or email me your cell phone number. I will most likely be camping that weekend at Holly Lake Campground on Rt. 24.
Hey Dineen,
Holly Lake is right around the corner from us...and my son and his boy scout troop camp there often. It's even closer to Joanne! Off season, I take my granddaughter there, pull of the side of the road and feed the animals that come to the fence. She loves it. We always bring carrots and apples for the donkeys. LOL.

I have to work Saturday morning early...come on down to PotNets Bayside, go all the way back to the community center and go left...follow it to the Back Bay Cafe, and have some breakfast! I'm the breakfast cook there. If you're not familiar with Longneck, just come into town from the campground, go left onto Longneck Rd. at the Dash-In intersection, then go about 2 miles...turn right into Bayside. We open at 7am and serve breakfast until 11am seven days a week. Maybe I will see you there!

Dineen, don't know if you know this or not, but that is Nascar weekend in Dover. Hotels rooms will be booked and the state will be packed with Nascar fans, drivers and their crews and the TV and radio people. There usually isn't a hotel room to be had anywhere in DE during that time. Just thought I would share this info. I am not even going down to MD that weekend because I don't want to have to fight the traffic.
Take care,
Deanna
