HELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLS,WAY OUT OF CONTROL
HELLO EVERYONE,I HOPE ALL IS WELL.AND WELCOME NEWBIES AND GOOD LUCK.HUGS TO NEWBIES AND OLDIES...............OK I HAVE TO CONFESS,I'M OFF WAYYYY OFF MY EATING HABITS AND EXERCISING(YES I KNOW ROB I CAN HEAR YOU GASPPPING AT ME LOL.I KNOW IT'S NO EXCUSE BUT I HAVE BEEN ON SO MANY DIFFERENT MEDICATIONS TO SEE WHAT WILL WORK FOR ME AND ALOT OF THEM MADE ME HAVE THE DIRTY WORD (BINGES) AND IT WAS SO HARD TO CONTROL.MY POOR BODY WAS IN SHOCK,MY BODY DIDN'T GET OVER ONE OR TWO MEDS,UNTIL THEY GAVE ME TWO MORE DIFFERENT MEDS TO TRY.ALOT OF TIMES I DIDN'T KNOW IF I WAS COMING OR GOING.SO MY FRIENDS I TRULY HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO GET BACK TO THE BASIC WAY OF EATING,LIVING,ETC.SO I NEED RECIPES ,LISTS,ETC.MY POUCH HAS GOTTEN BIGGER AND I'M SO DISAPPOINTED IN MYSELF.OH YEAH I AM ALSO ON A MEDICATION THAT HELPS YOU GAIN WEIGHT AND GUESS WHAT THIS IS THE ONE PILL THEY FOUND FINALLY THAT HELPS ME, BUMMER. SO DO I MEASURE MY FOOD?DO I JUST DO 1 CUP?SHOULD I PUT MY FOOD IN A BLENDER AGAIN TO START?I NEED TO GET THE WEIGHT OFF QUICK SO I CAN GET ALL THE EXCESS SKIN REMOVED AT THAT TIME,MY SECOND VISIT WILL BE THIS FRIDAY WITH DR.CHANG,(CROSSING MY FINGERS)HE WILL GIVE ME GOOD NEWS.HOPEFULLY I WILL BE HAVING THE SURGERY DONE IN A MONTH FROM NOW,BUT DR.CHANG WANTS ME TO LOSE MORE WEIGHT SO THEY WILL BE WEIGHING ME ALOT FROM THIS FRIDAY UNTIL A MONTH.I GUESS THE INSURANCE COMPANY WANTS MORE WEIGHT LOSS TOO LOL.PLEASE KEEP THIS IN YOUR PRAYERS ABOUT MY WEIGHT LOSS AND EATING HABITS AND PRAY THE INSURANCE WILL OK IT AND NOT WANTING MONEY FIRST UP FRONT.I WAS TOLD I NEEDED 780.00 UP FRONT,WOW IF I NEED 780.00 UP FRONT EVERYTIME I NEED SURGERY, BOY I WILL HAVE ALL MY EXCESS SKIN TO TAKE WITH ME TO MY GRAVE THEN. DR. CHANG WANTS TO DO THE TUMMY TUCK,THEN ONE LEG AT A TIME,THEN BREAST & ARMS AND HE DIDN'T KNOW IF THEY WOULD DO MY FACE AND I LOOKED AT HIM AND I SAID I SURE HOPE THEY DO FOR I DRIBBLE ON THE SIDES OF MY MOUTH AND I DON'T WANT TO LOOK LIKE A SAINT BARNARD,LOL W/DRIBBLE & DROPPY CHEEKS LOL,YES DEBBIE I CAN HEAR YOU LAUGHING AT ME NOW LOL.LOL.LOL.......OH WELL IT'S GOOD TO BE ABLE TO LAUGH AT YOUR OWN SELF.THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE,IT MEANS ALOT TO ME.TAKE CARE AND YES LETS HAVE A PICNIC, WALKATHON,OR WHATEVER THAT WILL KEEP US IN TUNE AND TOUCH.LOVE YA ALL.YOUR FRIEND BONNIE P.S. My advice to you would be to pay close attention to everything you do. Measure your food. Stick with high protein, lower carb, lower fat options and increase your exercise. If you are having medication issues that have a tendancy to cause weight gain, you will need to especially mindful of calories in/ calories out. Just a good basic plan that you can stick to is all you need. Remember, it's not what you do at one meal or one day, it's a cumulative effect. You can do it. Linda
Measure, monitor, quit buying the "crap" foods. No excuses allowed. You know deep inside that the better you eat the better you'll feel. You did it once before and you can do it again. Remember you are 1/2 the woman you were 2 years ago!!!
I can't imagine being able to "binge" without purging! Man if I go more than 1C (less if it's solid proteins) it's Hork City for me. If you can eat more than that then I would have the Dr. check your Stoma to see if it's enlarged and allowing food to pass thru too quickly. But until then, 2-3oz of SOLID proteins (meats) first, then your veggies, then your fruit if you can fit it in. Make sure you're getting at a minimum of 64oz of water in per day, and you'd BETTER be taking your vitamins EVERY DAY or I'm gonna havta come pinch you HARD! You should be taking bariactric formulated multi vitamins, extra Iron, sublingual B12 (Sublingual B Complex is Better because I'm hearing more and more about people being 5+ years out having other B vitamin deficiencies other than the B12), extra vitamins A, D, E, K and extra 1000mg of calcium,
Bonnie, I hear you GIRL FRIEND . I have gained back 30 lbs. I started back on track and lost 10 lbs the first week. What I am doing is writing down everything I eat and looking at calories,fat, carbs, fiber and protein. I aim for no more than 1200 calories a day. 60-100g of protein. I do 3 meals and 1 snack. We are all different with different needs. New Rule is : IF I BITE IT I WRITE IT !!!! . I am doing a walk from obesity on September 29th. You can always join me. Hi Bonnie,
I dont know if you remember me but we had surgery the same day. i feel your pain becuase i to have totally lost all control. i lost 100 pounds and gained weight back and i know that we both can get back on track especially with the help and adivice of the wonderful people that is on here so please keep it coming becuase i didnt go through all those classes and surgery to go back where i started.
