Bella's Boot Camp - Day 5 : The Final Edition

Good afternoon losers, I have reached the end of my great Boot Camp Experiment, however I have not reached the end of applying it. I have learned some pretty interesting things the last five days. 1. It's harder some days to stay in the mind set than it used to be. This is work, it will always be work. It's worthwhile work! 2. Stay accountable to yourself. Track exactly what you're doing. Stick to basics again and you WILL lose weight even at almost four years out. 3. Don't get too far from your support network whatever that may be. Message board, group meeting, whatever. You can't really do it by yourself. You need that backup of people who know and understand where you're coming from because they have lived it or lived through it with someone. 4. Keep trying NO MATTER WHAT. Every day is a new day a new chance and a clean slate. Heck, every meal is a new chance to make a good choice!

5. Don't beat yourself up for what YOU think as being a failure. See rule four! Thanks for indulging me with my experiment and letting me do it here. I hope this encourages others to do the same thing. if not openly on the board than in a personal journal at home. My final outcome is this: I lost 6 pounds and it really wasn't all that hard. I re-established exercise routines that had been lacking. I renewed my commitment to what I need to do. Onward and upward...or downward if you measure with a scale! By the way. I use a site to track my progress called Spark people. it's extremely helpful! http://sparkpeople.com  I will post an update on my progress in two weeks for those who care to read. Linda

Thank you for sharing.  It has helped me put things back into perspective.  Its so easy to get lost into things and forget we need to take care of ourselves.  Debbie
