Bella's Boot camp - Day 4
Good afternoon everyone,
Let me say I am really glad today is cooler than yesterday. UGH! Got up this morning, weight stayed the same today. I count that as a real success with my fluid retention struggles given the fact that it was so hot yesterday and I probably ended up with too much salt intake. I drank tons of water and had an extra protein shake, that helped a lot. Someone made some really excellant pulled pork in a crockpot for the reunion. Man was it good. I had some of that, some taco salad dip minus the chips and some fruit. It was much to hot to deal with taking food that needed some prep to the track so I opted to eat there. I went with the chicken filet with lettuce and tomato. Ate half the roll and had some fresh fruit salad and a boat load of water. Got home at 1 am and decided to eat a half a sandwich with ham and cheese. One thing I have learned since surgery is that one day or one meal doesn't make you fat, it's the cumulative effect of bad choices probably due to eating trigger foods in the first place. I stay away from anything that will set me off. Oh boy, those chips would have had me eating a bowl full! Half a roll on a chicken sandwich doesn't have that effect on me. Today has been very loosly structured. I had some left over chicken this morning when I got up and later had a bowl of oatmeal with added flax and a cheese stick. Today is my 45th birthday so we are going to dinner. No problems there because I will definitely order some sort of broiled seafood and a salad. In addition to yesterday's workout DVD's I went swimming for about an hour ( jumping around playing with a ball ) and walked about a gazillion miles up and down the pits at the track. Up and down the bleachers a lot too. Today has been doing some stuff in the yard and double checking camping equipment for a trip this weekend. I am sleeping in my camper but have some family members that need tents and things, so I am getting that together. Getting ready to plan tomorrow's food and exercise plan to keep me going in this good direction. I am very happy with Boot Camp results so far and am really happy knowing that even if I made some changes for a day or two it keeps moving in the right direction!
