Bella's Boot Camp - Day 3 The Naked Tweaker
Good morning all, Here I sit, naked and tweaking! Naked because it hit me last night how exposed it makes you feel when you put it out there for all to see everything you're doing, good, bad or ugly. I have learned something these last few days. I got too far removed from my surgery. I found it becoming too much a part of my distant past instead of remembering to incorporate it into my present and future. I tend to be a bit of a loner most of the time, so it's easy for me to fall into that trap. I also forgot about that awful detox screaming meemee feeling. Excess energy, slight headache, restlessness. Thankfully this morning that seems to have passed. Hopefully me putting this out here will not only help me be where I want to be, but maybe help someone else along too. The tweaking part comes in food wise. I am adding in a few more slow acting carbs today because the digestive system is not being cooperative. (Oh look, there's that pesky naked part again lol.) I have a few challenges today. We have a family reunion to go to...they usually last well into the night but we will be leaving early because my son is racing tonight. So...the game plan today is to eat oatmeal for breakfast and add in a low fat string cheese. The low glycemic carb in the oatmeal combined with the protein and fat in the cheese should be a perfect combo for starting the day. later I will find some low fat deli meat for lunch and will take dinner with me to the track. I started off this morning with 30 minutes of Leslie Sansone Fast Firming..then finished it up with 30 minutes of cardio. Leslie Sansone Walk Strong. It uses intervals of cardio and light weight training. I am down another 2.5 pounds for a total of 6 pounds. Breakfast: 1 packet Low Sugar Oatmeal Ground Flax 1 Low Fat String Cheese Snack: Chcolate Raspberry Protein Shake Lunch: 2 ounces Deli Meat 4 ounces Cottage Cheese ( taking it with me to the reunion ) Dinner: 3 ounces Lean Ground Beef 1 tbsp.Chopped Onion 1/4 cup Chopped Tomato 1/3 Cup Shredded Taco Cheese 1 Tbsp Salsa 1 Tbsp Sour Cream I will see how I feel later and maybe add something else. It is usually a very late night. Today'stotals are:
1048 Calories 43 Carbs 49 Grams Fat 100 Grams Protein
Thanks for the kickstart GF. I am with you on your bootcamp pilgramage and have lost 6 lbs this week. Amazing what a little boost this board can be. I am taking the time to get to the gym everyday again. That's the part that was lacking. for me. My DH is alaso going with me. Cept he never goes in the pool. My eating habits are pretty much the same. I do the "Oatmud" for breakfast everyday, Hmmmm keeps me regular. Lil ham & cheese roll-up, yogurt, or soup for lunch. Last nights dinner was stuffed cabbage leaves with stewed tomatoes. MMMMM. I still do my 2 protein drinks every day and at least a half gallon of water. I always have fruit in the house as 1snack. I should have bought stock in SF popsicles. Gosh I go thru a box from BJ's in no time. And at least 2x's a week I spurge on a little popcorn. Evening snack. I still journal. Keeps me honest. Getting ready to goto Lac La Hache, British Columbia for a week. Very NW territory. Almost in Alaska. Part vacation and part Masonic visitation. Looking forward to getting away. Have packed some staples for the trip. Protein powder & Splenda being the most important. I can pretty much improvise & find something that suits me while away now. Still cook way too much. I still have issues with leftovers. 1 day then OUT of sight. I'm gonna try putting the food on my plate 1st, then cook it. Maybe that will keep the leftover situation under control. Not to mention all those D___M little containers in the fridge.
Keep in touch. TT you soon. ((HUGS)) Elissa
