BCBS FEP???

Anyone out there have BCBS FEP (Federal employee plan)? I called them about 6 weeks ago and got the details for Lap Band but last night I heard that within the last month they added a 6 months supervised diet plan. The girl I spoke to said BCBSDE did this but she does not know if it applies to the FEP. I will call them tomorrow but Just curious if anyone else has had any dealings with this plan. Thanks! Abby

I have a BCBSDE state employee plan and they did not require a 6 month supervised diet. I was approved on first request and in about a week.

My understanding and this should be confirmed by calling BCBS of DE is that for all WLS now they require a six month supervised diet....so those who are waiting should get signed up as soon as possible.  In my opinion it will help you out in the long run post op when you really need toget the new habits in place, you'll already be on your way!!
