Harrington Support Group ?

Ok so I need to get the ball rolling so this process for approval goes by quicker. I need to attend a WLS support group meeting in order for my ins. to cover the surgery.
My question is do you have to register for these meetings or do you just show up? Im looking to attend an evening meeting that takes place after August 6th.

Ryanne if you are having surgery at PA Hosp please be sure that you get the group leader for the support group to certify that you were at that meeting. That could be a quick note to Jim stating that they are the group leader and you were there X night for Support meeting. Double check with Jim to be sure. I think Joanne runs the Harrington meeting and she would have no problem doing that for you.

We have joined together on the WLS Grad board for supporting each other to get off our gains. We have 4 so far and would love to have you join us and be # 5. I am still trying to take control of things again. I am back to exercising. Need to leave chocolates alone! BAD BAD BAD. I do go to them in a time of stress. I need to reprogram these things will hurt me. I am aiming to be back on track by end of August. School starts again in Sept. If I get things under control with stress we will sail through school. Can you share what you are doing? I love Linda's approach and think that is what I will have to do....BOOT CAMP.

Debbie, What I am doing is eating 3 meals a day and one snack. I am trying to get in 60-100 g of protein a day and stay under 1200 calories a day. I wanted to do protein hot chocolate for breakfast and lunch and a sencible dinner and snack but it didn't work out. I am doing the protein hot chocolate for breakfast so I am starting my day with protein. If I haven't gotten in at least 60 g of protein I have another hot chocolate before going to bed. If you are stuck on Chocolate, have you tried CHOKLAT CRUNCH . It is available at the vitamin shop. It has 10g of protein in 1/2 bar. 220 calories a serving but it is kinda like having your chocolate and eating it too. Good luck on this journey. GIRLFRIEND !!! I KNOW IT IS A STRUGGLE BUT WE CAN DO THIS !!!!! I am going to do the walk from obesity on the 29th of September. Interested in joining me in the Baltimore area? If not maybe you can support me.
