Made the 3 Year Mark today!

Yes I made three years today....its funny the time has flown.  I checked out my profile its been awhile since I updated.  Shame on me.  This is the time that life goes back to old habits and we have to be careful.  Its not easy being 3 that is for sure.  As far as problems, I still get that cramp situation when the legs are crossed.  So I try not to cross them too much these days.  I hate the cramp when it comes.  Other than I am thinking of Plastic Surgery in the winter.  I don't want to be couped up in the summer.  The garden is a lot of fun.  Although poison ivy is not!  School and work have consumed alot of my time and taken away me time.  Not good.  I hope to get back to meetings one day.  But then I think.....can the meetings really help me with my issues?  I have to do that for myself and knowing there is support is great but change is me.  Weight is a challenge.  I wish there was a way to get through this phase and come out skinny and healthy.  I look forward to many healthy years and only hope to stay at the weight I am at.   So since its my anniversary today I guess I will celebrate with a gym session... Happy New Birth Day to you.  I celebrated my 2 years last week but have been so down about my shoulder it passed me right by.  They found out that they damaged a nerve during the nerve block before the surgery and that is why I am in so much pain.  I can't work for another two weeks and I am going crazy.   But enough about me...you have been my inspiration during my whole journey and I am not sure I would have made it this far without you.  You make me realize that everyday is not going to be great and somedays I am going to fall off the horse, but I can get back on again tomorrow and continue to try.  I feel that if I don't lose another pound I know that I have been sucessful and you should too.  We might not even have been here today to pat each other on the back if we didn't take that big step in the first place.  Enjoy your special day and have Tim make you a healthy dinner tonight and just relax. Debbie, Congratulations!  And as Ellen said, Happy New Birthday!  I wish you many more years of celebrations of your continued success!  You said it when you said weight loss is a challenge.  And it is individual the changes that need to be accomplished.  But sometimes just getting together with friends made along the journey can be a nice pick me up.  Hope you get back to your meetings occasionally!! Enjoy your gift to yourself of a gym visit - and be sure to treat yourself to something else to mark the occasion! And Ellen, congratulations on two years out!  I'm sorry you are in so much pain ~ I hope you will get relief soon. Happy New Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday to you Debbie.  You have come along way, even though I did not know you at the beginning or middle of your journey, you still think like a wls patient.  You may have your bad and good days but in the end you have obviously learned the tool and how to use it correctly.  Good luck with your busy schedule and have a happy healthy meal for your birthday dinner tonight!

Debbie, Congratulations on your 3 years.  That is awesome.  You are an inspiration to me also, I have looked up to you since I started on this board.  You are always so encouraging and helpful.  It isn't an easy journey that we are on and there will be good days and bad days, but as long as we can keep the bad days in toe and learn from them to make the good days even better then we are on the right track.  Keep up the good job and I hope we get to see you real soon, the meetings aren't the same without you and Tim.
