My hubby is active duty Air Force and we have TriCare. Was wondering if anybody else on this forum has TriCare. If so was it covered by TriCare, did you have a hard time getting it covered? I have an appt with my PCM On July 2nd but Im just curious to know what I may be in for during that visit. What should I say, what questions should I ask. Im just concerned they won't take me seriously. The doc's here on Dover AFB aren't all that understanding or compassionate. Any input would be so much appreciated!
TIA,
Ryanne
One of the best things to do is call your insurance. Or you can contact a surgeon's practice - they're experts at getting you through the insurance process.
I used Dr. Wynn, and had the surgery at St. Francis hospital - she was very, very good, and very nice. One of the things that really put me at ease was as I was being prepped for surgery, every nurse, aide, and tech that I talked with at St. Francis asked me who was doing my surgery, and when I told them it was Dr. Wynn, they all said how good she was, how everyone liked her, and how nice she was to everyone. They're really experts in this surgery, and they do them laparoscopically.
Her practice is in Christiana, right on Route 7 (continue on Route 1 north just past I-95, and I think you turn left at the 2nd light). Their URL is http://www.chrias.com/ They have an informative, no obligation public seminar on June 20th that you can attend to get more information. It might be helpful to get your ducks in a row before you see your Primary Care doc, so this session will be helpful.
Best of luck to you!
