Hello Delaware, I feel like I have been out of touch with everyone this past week or so.  I am getting ready to move and don't get a chance to post like I have wanted to.  I am moving this Monday so hopefully things will be getting back to the way they were very soon.  I was away this past weekend on a retreat and wasn't able to lurk either.  I missed everyone this month, I was only able to go to 1 support group meeting and feel like a little lost puppy dog without seeing everyone.   I love the new look of our beautiful state board and now we just have to use it.  How is everyone doing, anything new or exciting going on in your life?  Let's all post one new good thing that has happened to us this week and see if we can get at least 10 responses.   New for me this week is that I am moving and hopefully by the end of the summer I will be hosting a WLS picnic at my house.  It will be fun and exciting so tell me if you would be interested in that so we can start planning something. Take care,

Deanna

Lets see this past week: Monday:  Sewed/altered Chelsea's 5 dance recital costumes. Tuedsay:  Started my LAST CLASS, but had to leave early cause I had to go to St Marks for Chelsea's stage rehersal, and mine also since the alumni mommies were doing a tap dance. Wednesday:  Finished the costumes Thursday:  Stage Rehersal at St Marks.  Didn't get home till after 9pm Friday:  Had to re-alter 2 of the costumes Saturday:  Did laundry all day then went to the Recital at 6.  All went well.  Chelsea danced her little butt off and so did I.  Did 24 high kicks in a row like a teenager (yeah right).  Only need a little oxygen therapy afterwards.  Took Chelsea out for Ice cream after. Sunday:  More laundry then recital at 1pm.  Again Chelsea danced her butt off.  It was over 100 degrees on that stage.  Momma needed to wear her dress shields!  Dance went really well then we all went to Cheesburger in Paradice for dinner.  Went home and was in a coma by 9! There' how's that!

Howdy! I have been busy with work and school, Vacation next week.  I need it bad.  I got a bad case of poison over the weekend.  I am miserable today!  Itching all over....Started steriods today...I am so hungry I hate it.  Can't wait to get off these pills.  I have to get back to the gym.  I cant seem to study and exercise at that same time.  Hope everyone is doing well.  Good luck with your move. Hi Deanna, My days kinda run together...I am not working so I pretty much do what I want, when I want.  I did get some things done last week though.  I just can't pinpoint which day I did what!  I got a bunch of new flowering plants for the deck, got a finch feeder hung up under the apple tree, went through the dresser drawers and weeded out all the stuff that doesn't fit anymore, watched the grandkids once or twice, had a birthday on Friday, did my daily devotionals, burned a couple of CD's, and did a bit of laundry.  This week, I get to fill out and send in all of Erica's financial aid and scholarship applications.  I got all dressed up to attend the academic achievement awards ceremony at Sussex Central High, but she called and told me that because she got a C, ONCE in the whole year in math, she wasn't getting the award this year.  I bawled.  So that day, I got back into my duds and goofed off outside all day.  Oh, and we gave Bob a bath the other day.  Erica helped me plant some of my new pretties yesterday, and I have 6 more to put in the ground, as well as install the bird/rabbit netting over my strawberries.  Today, Christopher and I are going to strip the golf cart down to it's body so it can get painted on Friday.  That'll be fun since all the nuts and bolts are rusty.  I have a doctor appointment at 11, but will be free all day after that. Boring stuff, but I find something to do each day, and with our current weather, it's hard to stay in the house! KathyG

Deanna, Great picture !!!!! All seems to be so busy these days. Monday I cleaned my grandaughters room from top to bottom. Didn't realize the girl had so many shoes !!! You would think she has been hanging with some of you guys. I think I used some muscles wrong for my thighs are killing me. Yesterday I spent all day at Beebe for my husband had surgery on his stomach.  Today I am back to work but will go to the hospital afterwards. He had scare tissue so his stomach wouldn't heal from the feeding tube. All seems well now so hopefully he is on the mend.  I started B12 shots last week and my calcium is real low -like 14. I am lossing again so that is good. See all lighter. Joanne

Hi all, quick note to let you know I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. My Mom went to ER on Saturday. I thought she had a stroke. Nothing positive after a gamit of tests. She appears to have a UTI and an inflammed leg. She was dismissed from hospital Tuesday to a skilled nursing facility for more care than I can do right now and therapy.  They will be doing more tests on the leg tomorrow for clots and treating her with a nebulizer twice a day for the weezing that she developed since she was in  the hospital. Maybe pneumonia. WOW!! What a weekend. The good news is I Iost 3 lbs over all this stress. I did take my vitamins, 2 protein drinks and a bottle of water with me each day. I managed to buy some fruit in the tea room at Christiana. Other than that eating just wasn't on my mind.  Mom appears to be okay, just terribly confused. She has dimentia. Leaving Thursday for Canada for the Memorial day weekend. Hubby has Masonic functions to do near Toronto. Will be home sometime Tuesday.  ((HUGS)) TT you all soon. Elissa

WOW and I thought I lead a busy life. LOL Compared to you guys life of being oncall 24/7 for the Operating Room is a piece of cake (no pun intended Haha). For me I plan on ''slowing down some'' as of June 4th as I will be working for a local Surgery Center being the PreAdmission Testing Coordinator. Sounds alot but no oncall, no weekends or holidays. YES, and hopefully less stress. I plan on getting back to me=gym, eating what I am supposed to instead of living off of protein drinks since I cant eat under stress. I would be interested in a picnic if any help is needed please let me know.................
