I am happy to say that the scale is finally moving again!!!! I am down 3 pounds. So I have now lost 69 pounds. My son graduates from Temple on Thursday night with his Masters in education and I will be wearing my size 1X dress and the proudest mom ever. I am down 4 dress sizes from when I attended his high school graduation in 1996. So I guess this is my WOW moment. Thank you all for being patient with me. Love, Rosemary

Way to go Rosemary. Keep up the awesome job. Are you journaling what you eat? How about exercise? These little plateaus can get you down, just try to stay focused and positive. 69lbs is pretty awesome. You should be really proud of your son and yourself too. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Thank you Elissa and Dineen, but I guess I got too excited, because today I'm up 4 pounds. What's up with that? I drink a protein shake in the morning with milk which totals 42g protein and then the rest of the day I eat fruit. usually a banana, orange, and an apple with 2 Tbs. peanut butter. Sometimes I will have a half a cup grapes and a half a cup trail mix (not together) and then I will eat my dinner to make up for any protein that I have to get in. What am I doing wrong!!!! Any suggestions would be helpful. Rosemary

Cut back on fruit intake...its a natural sugar and it will hinder lose. Trail mix is very high in calories watch that too. What we think is healthy can be damaging to us. I had to cut my fruit and nuts down. I was on a gain but since I changed some of my intake the scale has gone down a few. I needed it too! Hope that helps. Debbie

Rosemary, I agree with Debbie. You need to add a little fiber also. A small bowl of oatmeal with flaxseed in the am will keep you full and moving. There is some discussion about the value of any more than 20 grams of protein at one time. Sometimes less is more. How are your protein levels? 20 is optimum. Break up the 42gr into 2 shakes, one in the am and the 2nd in the afternoon maybe. Experiment It is great that you are doing protein 1st. I never had a lot of room left for anything else at 1st. 2 shakes count as a meal, the fiber is a 3rd and the fruit/vegetables can be 4th & 5th. Now you will need to add a meat or fish protein also. Try to start incorporating it back in. You won't feel deprived of real food. Chili or shrimp is a good start. You won't eat alot but it will feel more normal by adding it back in. Good luck. Thank you both Elissa & Debbie: I will cut back on the trail mix or cut it out altogether and also the fruit. I will also cut back on the protein in the morning. I was doing the oatmeal every morning so I will add that back to my diet. I will let you know how it works. Now today I was back down and have lost 1 pound. I need to stay off the scale for a few days, I'm driving myself crazy!!!!! Thanks, Rosemary

Rosemary, How's it going? Sometimes switching your diet around alittle helps. Alot of us become scale *****s. I never used to get on the scale, DUH, maybe cause I was over the weight limit. Now I get on every morning. Keeps me honest.  Don't cut out the fruit or nuts,  just try to be aware.  Deprivation doesn't help. I have the "3 bite rule", 3 bites and done. That way I get a taste and can savor it and it's over.  Put it away, give it away or tra****  Keep up the good work, this is a lifelong process.  ((HUGS)) Elissa
