Just saw this article posted on the Christiana Care website: Michael B. Peters Jr., M.D. named medical director of Christiana Care Bariatric Surgery Program 04/27/2007 Michael B Peters Jr., M.D. has been appointed the first medical director of the Christiana Care Bariatric Surgery Program. A graduate of the University of Delaware and Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Peters completed his surgical residency at the Polyclinic and Pinnacle Health Hospitals in Harrisburg, PA and Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship training at the Michael DeBakey Department of Surgery of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Peters, who has robust experience in bariatric surgery, joined the Christiana Care Surgery faculty in 2004. He will lead the Christiana Care Bariatric Surgery Program in collaboration with the Weight Management Program at the Preventive Medicine & Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Peters is currently an associate in the Christiana Institute for Advanced Surgery practice, along with Isaias Irgau, M.D., Gail Wynn, M.D., and Katherine Sahm, M.D.
