well i'm back..3 days post op... thank you all for your prayers, and good wishes, made the difference, and special thanks to my angel Randell Culpepper..he spoke to my wife, which gave him all the news about my surgery... ..... it was a success and very uneventful, thank God ...tuesday and wednesday were tough...coming out of anaesthesia, ahd lots of chills and shivering...did lots of walking...started on liquids, rejected ice chips, but can handle regular temperature liquids well...different not being on most of my medications..will get back on some...will ignore others...did mostly sleeping and resting wednesday drinking larger amounts of liquids today, and will go to longer walk near my house with my wife...feel more like myself today... Hey Al! Been waiting to hear how it went. Glad you're ok. Keep up the walking. It's the best thing for the gas. ARe you sipping on protein drinks? I didn't tolerate the milk based ones at first so I mostly drank Nectar and Isopure. Have you tried any pureed foods yet? I LIVED on refried beans with melted cheese on top, and pureed chili the first few weeks.

Hurray, you found me! I'm so sorry our leaving wasn't at the best of times for me...too much too fast i think... there is a definate difference between the band and the bypass, I am learning that all now at home...i was in the hospital till wed morning...then had to hit the floor running... it's been very difficult dealing with all of the changes, but everyone assures me that it does get easier... glad you are feeling and doing much better... yes its gonna be at least another week or so before i can going places, i have been trying to get walking in with my wife...been going when my son's in school...but i will definately join a gym when i get clearance from the dr dr irgau is totally booked solid so I will see someone else for my 2 week follow-up... glad your husband is really supportive of you, and hope to see you at the meeetings, as well as here also staying focussed, Alfred
