Orlando Conference in May

Anyone attending the Obesity conference in Orlando?

Hmmm....I hadn't seen this one...Thanks for heads up. This might be a doable one. I wish I made it to KY. It seemed like a lot of fun. Perhaps I can do this one. See some relatives down there too! Debbie

Looks like only one speaker for that event? Do they normally get more as time gets closer? Debbie

Hi Debbie, They are still in the process of planning. I've heard from a few that have attended that they usually have 4 speakers. They also have various vendors, lots of samples, etc. Friday night is the meet and greet at the hotel. Michael Eakes (what a great guy) is planning a buffet filled with high protein choices. He is also speaking with the planners to expand the topics and vendors. It sounds like a blast. I can't wait to attend. If you go to the Florida boards, they have a post at the top from Amy of OH with some of the details. Michael has a great post under that topic. I'll keep everyone posted. Best wishes, Deb

Hi all, They updated a couple of things. Meet and Greet will be the night before at the Double Tree Castle. Michael is working with sponsors to try to make the event free. The Best Western Hotel across the street is offering $45.00 rooms for the conference. I was also able to get airfare for $49.00 each way. They are expecting to have 6 speakers. I'll keep everyone posted. I'm really excited about going. I'm flying into Tampa to see my honey for a couple of days, then he is driving me to Orlando on Friday. I'll probably stay til Sunday.
