What did you do this weekend?
OK everyone. The weather was perfect this weekend. What did everyone do? It's supposed to stay in the upper 50's and 60's all next week. What are YOUR plans?
Ed and I finally put the skirting up around the deck. We are no longer the neighborhood litter box! I got so tired of all the feral cats around here doing the icky under my deck, not to mention the smell! We also started getting the flower beds cleaned up and ready for planting. I didn't do much as far as landscaping last year because I wasn't very mobile, but this year I am SOOO ready to get this place spruced up outside. My nursery delivery will be here the week of the 26th. It will be so pretty when everything is all planted and in bloom! I can't wait!
This week, I have to get a roto-tiller and get everything turned over, then I'm going to put down the weed barrier cloth. Also, my friend and I are going to the beach at the Roosevelt Inlet to look for shipwreck artifacts again. I love walking on the beach and finding treasures! Next weekend, my nephew is coming over for a couple of days. I haven't seen him in almost 2 years. He's in the Air Force and is currently stationed at McGuire in Jersey, so he's finally close enough to get a visit! I miss him alot..he's 23.
I am so anxious to get out and enjoy the weather, and LIFE! I can't remember the last time I felt this good about myself!
Have fun and enjoy what our Creator has given us!

Kathy, Today Debbie and I walked The Rehobeth Boardwalk. It is 1 mile each way so we walked 2 miles. It was really nice and relaxing walking along the Ocean and we saw parts of the boardwalk we didn't know existed. If you ever want to join us give us a call. I would love to get a walking club started down here. See you lighter. Joanne
Hey Joanne,
My daughter and son-in-law both worked at the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel for about 2 months back in November, and my other daughter worked there all summer last year. Too many people for me. I don't do well in crowds and hate it when the beach and boardwalk is loaded with them. That was pre-op attitude though. I am waiting to see if I feel the same after losing so much weight. I know when we went to Ocean City, MD with friends a couple of times, I SOOO did not want to be there. There was so little room on the little tram cars and the walk to the other end was so dreaded. The others walked, I waited for the tram. I missed out on a lot of fun up until now.

Kathy, The Rehobeth Boardwalk is so empty this time of year. It might be a good time for you to experience the beauty of the Ocean before the crowds get here in the summer. Right now there is a few people walking it for exercise and a few walking their dogs because they can walk dogs until April 1st. Girl you have missed out on a lot. I did too but there is no stopping me now. See you lighter. Joanne
