There are "angels" out there that look over us, Thank God. Surgery over, recouping at home. I was only in the hospital for 1 day, thank goodness that is behind me. They gave me chicken broth for breakfast, lunch & dinner. I went prepared and brought my protein drinks with me. Thank God I had an Paula, 3D, that took pity on me. She'd had WLS last year. She found me food with protein/substance that got me by til I got home. Jaunita had Lap band and kept me supplied with hot tea to warm me up. I hope to see them both at 1 of the support group meetings. They are so busy they can't make it. But you know me, I took the oppurtunity to share while I was there. Keeps me motivated. Went walking at the gym yesterday for an hour, That's about the only exercise I can do for the next couple weeks. No driving, of course. So I'm at everyone's mercy for a ride. If anyone wants to do lunch, let me know!!!! ((HUGS)) to you all. Elissa

So glad you are home and doing so well! I soooo hear you about hospital/protein. The girl who was working on my menus (my emergency surgery in April), was as sweet as could be, and truly, really tried, but .... Lets just say, I found out real quick ... that I had to rely upon my own supply of protein. I was just so glad that I was educated in what my body needed. I always keep portable protein in my pantry now, for just such an occasion!!! Before, I thought it a luxury, now I know it is a necessity. LOL Know that if you are ever back in the hospital ... give me a call ... I will be sure to get your some protein my friend!!! We are all in this together!!!
