3 months post op

Hi all, I've been lurking here but since most of you are in the Christiana family and I'm in the St. Francis sometimes I don't feel as connected to you all. Anyhow, I had my three month post-op yesterday with Dr. Irgau. He said I'm doing great, I've already lost over 50% of my total weight loss, down 53 lb as of then. I can't believe how different and wonderful I have been feeling. The office was crowded with alot of new patients waiting for their turn to begin their journey. I remember just a few months ago that was me! I want to thank you all for your support and guidance, it's been invaluable!! Michelle

Michelle, Congrats to you! Your progress is fantastic. You are in good hands with Mary Ellen. She is terrific. I really love to talk to her and I enjoy her meetings. Don't feel like your disconnected, consider us one big happy family. Even at three years post op, I still learn new things. I'll be at Mary Ellen's meeting on the 27th. Joe Danyo and his new partner will be doing the presentation. I worship the man. He is so skilled with plastics. Thanks to him, I no longer cry when I look in the mirror. Hey Michelle, Congratulations on your way to a successful journey...50 % already is awesome....Dr Irgau is great..I see him next Thursday..It isgreat to still see so many people going to Dr Irgau, Peters and Wynn etc and the CHRIAS group...This is a great board for support/answers etc. See you at the meeting on Thursday..Dave T

Michelle, Good to hear you are doing well. Don't feel like you have to be a lurker.....I had surgery in Phila....PA Hospital but I try to participate in DE as much as possible. Its my roots! And the people here are warm and friendly.....My husband loves going to the meetings and sitting and chatting with them as well. Its very much like an extended family. Hope to see more of you....although these days I am sure people are saying that about me. Its funny how life changes after surgery....and to me its all for the best! Debbie

Thanks Debbie, I guess sometimes it's hard to try and get to all the different meetings to meet everyone...I see so many people at the office I always wonder where they go when it comes time for the meetings... I hope to start attending some of the Sat meetings once my younger son gets done Sat morning bowling. Thanks again! Michelle
