moving to DE this weekend . . .

Hi folks, We are relocating to lower/slower Delaware over the weekend to be closer to family . . . hoping to make some new friends along the way. If you live near the PotNets communities in Long Neck, please give me a shout. I am terrified of starting over in a new place LOL! -BJ

Hi Barbara! Welcome to Delaware, and the Longneck area. You will love it here...I sure do! I live in Pot-Nets Creekside, just about half way between the entrance and "our bay" where the boat ramp and docks are. The communities are kept looking really pretty, year round and there are always some activities at the Community Center in Bayside, across the road. I am an "implant" from Michigan. We have some friends living here and my husband is from Philly. We came here a couple of times on vacation and the last visit we made clinched my decision to move the family here...it was New Years Day and my friend and I went beachcombing...it was 72 degrees that day and we both had mild sunburn! When I got back to Michigan, there was 17 inches of snow on the ground and it was topped off with a 2 inch crust of ice. I couldn't get out of my driveway. We moved here in June 2005 and I'll never go back. Give me a holler! I would love to talk to someone right here in the neighborhood who is on this board! Good Luck with your move! KathyG

Kathy! You are right around the corner from us. Sorry I haven't responded sooner -- this is the first chance I've had to get online, we are still packing/unpacking. I will email you my new phone # when it gets activated later this week and maybe we can become walking buddies? -BJ

Welcome down here. We moved here 9 years ago, and would never go back. You are in a good area, which PotNets community are you in?

BJ, Enjoy the area. I have a friend in Lewes Sussex West development and she loves it there. She has been trying to get my husband and I to move that way....Its just a problem with the job I have it would be 2 plus hour commute for me one way....too many hours and not enough pay for me to justify the move. Enjoy the new move....lots of good people down that way. Debbie
