Struggling after 3 years
I am only 2 1/2 years out but do understand....the stress of the move...getting to know your surroundings has probably not helped. Its really hard sometimes to just stay motivated and do the right thing. Only you can change the habits but you have lots of help and support for your decision here......DE support groups and this site are the best....As a matter of fact there is a group in Harrington that you might like to attend. Hopefully Joanne will pop in here and see this note and contact ya! She is a great motivator, and group leader that can give you some tips and get you into the support circle in your area! Good luck with your journey in 2007....things will get better. You made the first step by coming here!

Hi Michele,
I had been a die-hard poster here. I'm 3 years out and I totally understand your struggles. Actually 'struggles' seems a mild word. I've put on 45# and just can't stop. Email me if you want to talk more. I haven't given up totally, but dang, it's hard. I came to the realization yesterday that I don't even consider myself a bariatric patient anymore.. everything is exactly like it was pre-op. ONly thing I can offer you now without knowing more, is to get a handle on it now, 25# is heartbreaking I know, but don't let it get to 26. Take care,
Tina...
Nice to see you again Tina. So what are the demons that keep you at the gain? Has it settled down? I know my gain is not doing all the right things. I have been doing a wine/martini here and there...so that has to be cut loose. I have to get that carb thing under control. More carbs than I should....good and bad ones. I love bananas, potatoes, SF cake....and none of these things are good for me. Can you share how you are coping with this problem and what you are doing to fight it. I guess we will be fighting for the loss forever. I just hope the fight is not too hard.
