As I was driving home from the Christmas party the other night I started to look back through my year and how grateful I am to have met such a wonderful new group of friends, and I wanted to take a minute or two and let you all know that I have enjoyed meeting each and everyone of you and look forward to getting to know you all even more. I started this journey in September 2005, I went to one PMRI support group meeting in October and it was about the first 3 months. It was a very good meeting, but I didn't get to meet anyone. I did find this board and starting posting. I also showed up at the picnic last September, but there were only a few people still there. Dineen I already knew, but I met Gigi and saw from a distance Deb. After that my life got crazy and our busy season at work started and I couldn't make it to any more meetings until after my surgery. I am so glad I branched out and started going to the other meetings, because of their laid back format I got to meet some extremely nice and very supportive people. You have been there with me all along. When I had my surgery in April the emails started to arrive and the good wishes for a successful surgery. I couldn't believe all the emails I received. You have been there as every pound and inch fell off of me, and you were all there for me when I had my set back in August and wound up back in the hospital. And as recently as when Aunt was hospitalized, you were there and prayed with me for her to get better. For all of these things I will be forever grateful. This year has brought a lot of changes for me and without you I don't think I would have been as informed as I think I am. So as you sit around with your families enjoying the holiday that you celebrate, I just wanted to take a minute and say THANKS for always being there when I needed a friend. I wish each and every one of you a Joyous Holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year. Love, Deanna P.S. My aunt is awake, sitting up in bed and talking, but thinks it is 1969....lol. Please keep her in your prayers as she gets better each day. Oh and if it is 1969, I am only 4 years old and extremely thin.....lol.

Being an "Angel" is all part of my program. It helps me stay positive & focused. It's up to all us post-ops to help the newbies on their journey's. It can be very scary at times. Have a Happy Holiday. ((HUGS)) Elissa
