Hello Delaware! Did you think I forgot you? No way. I just decided to give you a few extra days to get over the turkey anxiety. Well, November is almost complete. I did a 5k on Thanksgiving morning in just under 31 minutes. Got home and my daughter had made me an excellent pumpkin cheesecake pudding with protein for a stimulation snack. So how did you do? Even if your not posting I hope that you are keeping track of your progress. Here's my report for the week, and wrap-up for this month. Previous Month (October): 65 miles, 216m spinning, 45,500lbs. Week 1: 12 miles [running], 65m Spinning, 18,250 pounds Week 2: 10 miles [running], 65m Spinning, 26,500 pounds Week 3: 12 miles [running], 65m spinning, 22,000 pounds Week 4: 15 miles [running], 50m spinning, 18,250 pounds Percent of Month Elapsed: 100% Percent Achieved vs. 50 Mile Goal: 98% Percent Achieved vs. 80,000 Pound Goal: 101% All I want for Christmas is to see less traffic on the road so that I can keep rotating my runs indoor and outdoor. Goal for December: 50 miles running, 100 miles spinning, 80,000 pounds. What's your goal? For those planning on doing the MS Bike to the Bay next year, NOW is the time to start getting your legs ready. There are several real fun 35-50mile rides in late March.

Sorry I did not reply sooner. My life will be a little busy from now until christmas. I am averaging 13-15 miles of running a week. I am strenght training on the day I am not running. So I am doing pretty good meeting all the goal I have set up. I did not run a 10K on Thanksgiving. I got stuck cooking, but I did run a 5K the sunday after Thanksgiving. I was so pround of myself. I ran the jingle bell run in Malvern PA. The cours was had a lot of hill. And my trainig routes have none. But I still managed to finish the race in less time than it took me to run my first 5k. My family walked the 1 mile fun walk at the same time. I have also decided to take a pilates class. Have a great week and realize if I do not check in I am still making it to the gym. I have made working out a priority in my life. Carolyn

You are awesome... You are really doing great to be out there on those 5ks. Pilates are a lot of fun, but my flexibility isn't great so I usually end up like a pretzel. This is a busy time of year for all of us. Great time to enjoy life, and if you don't do everything you need to at the gym, oh well, you can get set for the new year. It's going to quite a ride. Get ready for that 10k in 2007 and maybe a centry or two if you like to cycle. Rob

Rob, I thought I had a positive attitude. It is nice to know that other believe in the PMA(positve mental attitude). Yes I am a pretzel after the yoga and palattes class. But I have noticed I am more toned. I also can do it a home. I have with the kids. I am going to buy a bike and trying cycling. I have a friend in PA that want me to ride a 40mile bike ride with her. And you are right the 10K will come. I just need to remember that I need to adjust my schedule when it starts getting light early. Right now I do not feel comfortable running by myself in the dark. The tread mill needs to be enough. Have a great week. Carolyn

Rob You are so awesome. You just keep growing stronger and stronger. I'm so proud of you. Now hoping this shamed me into kicking myself in the pants and doing a fraction as well as you are. Dianne

Hi Dianne, Don't ever feel shame, just look for the pride in your achievements. Just remember to try and do a little more next month than you did this month and eventually it becomes second nature. BTW, Christiana Care is releasing their PMRI exercise video soon. It is a one-hour exercise session with bands, chairs, and balancing. Not sure how they are going to distribute it yet. I'm part of the banding session. I'm sold on the theraband exercises. They are easy and you can get through 10 different sets of exercises in under thirty minutes. Look forward to seeing you soon. Stop by at one of the meetings. Rob
