Hello Delaware! Well, the third week of November is complete. Attendance at the PRMI session today was really sparse. A lot of got tips on handling the holidays. [In particular, there was a lot discussion around the evils of alcohol for gastric bypass patients. There are a lot of new studies available that are showing very negative conditions that develop, the least of which is the stunting of weight loss.] And the holidays are almost upon us. Time for all those too busy excuses. I'm really going to add some feet miles this coming week. So how did you do? Report your progress for the week and look at your goal for the month. Did you procrastinate. Even if your not posting I hope that you are keeping track of your progress. Here's my report for the week:and wrap-up for this month. Previous Month (October): 65 miles, 216m spinning, 45,500lbs. Week 1: 12 miles [running], 65m Spinning, 18,250 pounds Week 2: 10 miles [running], 65m Spinning, 26,500 pounds Week 3 12 miles [running], 65m spinning, 22,000 pounds Percent of Month Elapsed: 75% Percent Achieved vs. 50 Mile Goal: 68% Percent Achieved vs. 80,000 Pound Goal: 83% I participated in the PMRI exercise video this week demonstrating the exercise band. They say that the video will be delivered late December. It was a lot of fun but a whole lot of work. We had to do several takes of each of the banding exercises until the instructor got it right, and the rest of did the exercise correctly. I went right out and got my own set of bands, and have 14 great exercises that I can do every other night for about twenty minutes. Goal for November: 50 miles running, 100 miles spinning, 80,000 pounds. Also in November I'll be participating in the PMRI exercise video (banding exercises). Had the dress rehearsal this week, and filming is on Friday. For those planning on doing the MS Bike to the Bay next year, NOW is the time to start getting your legs ready. There are several real fun 35-50mile rides in late March.

Rob, Where did you get your Bands for exercising? My trainer at the gym has been incorporating these in her training sessions with me but I would like to have some for home use when I am unable to attend the gym or at work when I have down time. Week 3: 11 1/2 miles (walking/running) weights ? alot Still planning on doing the Bike to the Bay next year. Take care..... Sharon

Good job this week. You can get the bands at places like Target, Sports Authority, etc. Make sure that you get the 6-8 ft ones so you can do most of the movements. You can also get the bands online. Keep up the good work. Rob

Hey Rob ... I would LOVE to get a copy of those exercises ... any chance? FYI - I have two sets of bands ... one set it like round rubber bands with handles, the other set is like flat, fat rubber bands no handles. I like the no handles the best. I wrap the bands around my hands to the length I need.

It's on the way. #14 is like a golf swing. Swivel as you raise your hands. Very intense.
