I'm ready

I've gotten everything done except the pre-op which is next Tuesday. I'm very excited and everything is done! whew is all I can say. I started out thinking I could wait until late Jan/Feb to have this then with the BCBS changes all of sudden in Oct everything became a rush to get done!! It's amazing when you put your mind to something it can be accomplished. So now I am going to prepare my foods and get ready to have this surgery. I can't wait to be on the other side with all of you here Michelle

Hi Michelle, good luck. The day will be here before you know it. It will be the ride of your life though and definately worth it. I have never been happier. I waited from Sept 05 until Apr 06 and as long as that sounded then the time flew and now here I am alsmost 7 months post op. That just doesn't seem possible. Keep us informed on everything especially when you go in so we can keep you in our prayers. Are you having RNY or the band? Have a great day, Deanna

Hi Michelle, I can feel the excitement in your post. Your day will be here before you know it. I'm 1 week post op now and feel a heck of a lot better. I'm down 20 pounds since my initial consultation with the surgeon and 8 pounds of that is in the last week since surgery. My snoring has stopped and I no longer wake in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. What a difference 20 pounds makes. I will pray that everything goes well for you before, during and after your surgery. Keep me posted. Lisa

Lisa, OMG I was thinking of you last night. I am so glad you are feeling better! You will get by on the chewing portion only a few more weeks to go and you'll be fine. It's nice to see your pic to, always nice to put a face to a name. Keep in touch and yes I am ready! Michelle

Hey Michelle, Sorry I don't have a pic loaded yet. Dr Irgau is also my surgeon and I am scheduled for Wednesday the 8th, lap band. I can't believe it is here already. As I sit here today thinking okay Toni, this is it, get used to the fact that starting tomorrow I have a few months ahead of liquids and pureed goodies. The closer it gets the less anxious I am of the change. I don't know about others, but I am feeling an odd sense of peace today. Good luck with your surgery and jouney to the "skinny side" of life.
