Clothing Exchange

Could someone tell me if any of the meetings do something like a clothing exchange? Where we have different bins with different sizes that you can drop something off or pick something up if needed. I have some clothes in sizes like 30-32 that someone could still get alot of use out of. Just a thought. Kim

Congrats on the weight loss & need for new clothing sizes. When I first came on this board last Winter, I asked the same question. It's a shame we don't have an exchange, although I seem to remember hearing that they have that at a meeting downstate. I wish I could help you out but I've cleared out my closets already...not that I had much that I hadn't worn to pieces! Maybe one of the pre-surg newbies could take your larger sizes off your hands. Don't you just hate to toss good clothing away? Good luck on your journey!

I guess if you go to different support groups you can take the clothes with you and either take them in with you or announce you have clothes during the meeting. If someone is interested they will let you know. Sandy
