Support Groups

Hi Folks... I'm in Dover, and I have surgery with Dr. Kliegman on November 2nd. I was wondering where some support groups are.... I tried contacting someone in Camden, the town closest to me on the list and I got no response. Hope things are great with you all! Lilly

Hi Lilly. Not familiar with Dr. K. Where does he work out of? Your profile says you live in Symrna? I'll cut & paste the current Delaware meetings list for you. There are some groups both north & south of the canal. Some groups for Lap Band and the others for RNY. Hope you are able to connect with one or two meetings. FYI I just called 661-3000 about the first monday (varies). The person had no knowledge of any meeting. I asked about the third Sat of the month, 11/18. This is not on the calendar. ? Cecilia, Obviously whoever you talked to didn't have the information for you. Gee I'm not surprised. So often they are diffucult to deal with. Monday, Nov 13th 7pm-8pm. Plastic surgery after WLS Saturday, Nov 18th 10am-11am. Holiday eating tips Monday, Dec 4th 7pm-8pm. Nutrition after bariatric surgery. Saturday, Dec 16th 10am-11am Managing pitfalls that lead to weight gain. At the main lobby desk at PMRI you should be able to get a list of meetings. I get one mailed to me each quarter.
