4 years Post-Op

Wow, time sure does fly! It's hard to believe that it's been four years already. I had some rough sailing in the beginning but the waters got smoother each and everyday, just as you all told me it would. Despite all the problems that I encountered, I would do this surgery again in a hearbeat! I feel like I've been given a second chance at life and I'm living it to it's fullest! I am so active in my kids lives and my community. No more hiding out at home. I've been running a support group here in Smyrna for the past 3 years. My goal is to help anyone that is fighting obesity. I share my story with those who want to listen and hope that I can help someone to a healthy, fun, energetic life again. I never realized just how much I was missing out on. This surgery is far from the "easy way out" that I have heard people say. I'm just so grateful that I had Dr. Wynn & Dr. Irgau to help me start a new chapter in my life and all the new friends that I met along the way thru OH.com and at PMRI. I wanted to give up in the beginning, wish I never had the surgery. But it was YOU who told me each and every day that it would get better, just hang in there. You will always need some type of support... Don't forget where you came from. I promised myself that I would always be here to help those new posties, just like my friends here helped me. Thank you all for being there...
