It's been awhile since I posted.... I went to my new primary doctor the other day and he says that I probably won't find a surgeon willing to correct my surgery. It's so discouraging to know that after having this surgery I have only pain and nausea to look forward to for the rest of my life. I told him if that's the final outcome...me not feeling any better... I choose not to live anymore. Why bother waking up when you know that you are gonna feel pain. I've almost given up hope. I did call CHRIaS and was told they won't even see me because they don't see patients who have had the original surgery elsewhere. So what if I had just moved from another area and needed follow up care? I guess I'm screwed. I'm trying to deal with it... the doctor suggested pain management but I already tried that and all I got was a bunch of pills and more bowel obstructions. Sorry I am rambling... I'm so bummy. Sleep is almost impossible as I am getting the horrible charley horse pains in my gut. I even took a sleeping pill tonight and its almost 3 AM and I am still not yawning. Time to try to sleep...

I would try a teaching hospital.....John Hopkins is not too far from you they tend to like cases that are unique in nature and will try and assist. I did my surgery at PA Hosp in Philadelphia with Dr. Matthew Kirkland. He is a general surgeon and specializes in cancer surgery so I consider him the tops in my books. But Philly may be too far for you to travel. I do know a few people that are using JH. I haven't been to meetings to get Dr names. Perhaps they will see this message and post the info for you if you are interested. Sorry you have experienced those problems and I hope things get better for you soon. Debbie
