I NEED HELP!
I cant believe this but i just got word today that i have another upcoming surgery, scheduled for September 15th. I wanted to get it done as soon as possible because the Picnic/Party is the following Weekend. Has anyone experienced a problem with ulcers as bad or worse then me. This is my third surgery now, including my intitial gastric bypass. For some reason my body keeps producing a great deal of acid thats eating away at my pouch and now has entered my lower stomach. I had to meet with an oncologist last week at the "Helen Graham Center" to discuss what they had to do. Apparently they have to deflate my lungs one by one in order to seperate and cut the nerve endings that are producing the acid that are contributing to the Ulcers! UGH! Has anyone experience this or do you know someone that has gone through it. I am so disgusted, i cant imagine losing any more weight. They also want to put a feeding tube in the side of my old stomach and leave it in there for 5 months. I really need someone's advice.
The revision surgery was one thing i thought was going to prevent this from happening all over again, and their is no guarenttee this will work for me or be the last surgery.
On another note, i hope there is plenty of people interested in attending this years 2nd Annual Gastric Bypass/Lapband Picnic and for those who are interested in volunteering help set up etc. Let me know, by email ****[email protected] or call 302-395-1698) I wont be able to lift anything heavy for a week after my surgery so any help offered will be appreciated.
Thanks

I haven't had much problems with those nasty acid balls in stomach....You must feel terrible with them. I hope that this is your solution. Have you checked with other Drs to see what they say about the situation? Maybe see a Dr at teaching hospitals in the PA or MD area. We have good ones in both directions. John Hopkins/PA Hosp/U of PA. They all have experience with Gastic Bypass so it might be a second opinion for you.

Kenn, I am soooo sorry you have had all these problems. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
I originally thought I could help with the picnic, however, I will not even be in town that weekend. Traveling with my husband to Maine for his official Mason visit.
Praying all goes well for you. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Kenn,
I am soooo sorry to her this is happening to you. Prior to my 4/10/2006 by-pass I had nver had ulcers. However I have developed and ulcer and have been scoped twice since april. I would like to know some of your symptoms and pains that you have had. Also what is a revision? What is it that they do?
