Hello everyone, boy have I missed this web page. I was going crazy without my online friends. I am home from the hospital and back to work. Dr. Wynn wound up doing a diagnostic laporoscopy (sp) and found that I had scar tissue wrapped around my intestines. They couldn't figure it out at first because every test they did came back fine or normal. I have to give her and her partners my greatest thanks because they were awesome with my treatment and care. The staff at Christiana was wonderful, I had a very rude roomate at the end of my stay and my night RN and PCT brought me in ear plugs to block her out....lol. I was allowed to go home and Friday which I did and have been resting ever since. Today is my first day back to work. I still feel bad and the amount of food that I am able to handle wouldn't feed a bird at this point, an ounce of cheese fills me up. Plus everything tastes awful for some reason. I am down 85 pounds now (including the 9 that I have lost since this past Sunday). I am very depressed right now too. I have never once doubted why I had this surgery until this happened. I have had myself mentally prepared for this new life for a long time and now I fell out of wack because of this small setback. Thanks for all your prayers. Deanna

Dear Deanna, I am so sorry to hear that you had to have surgery. We missed you at the meeting last week. Please let us know when something happens so we can pray for you. So now you've joined the "club" of those of us who have had scar tissue around the intestines. Me, too! By the way, have you heard anything on Rob who had his surgery in Baltimore. I know you guys are friends. God bless, Pastor Faye

Deanna So glad you are home and on the mend. I'll bet you are too. After my second surgery when I had to be opened, people were asking me if I had regretted my decision to have surgery. My response, "Not for an instant". You must be doing well as I am reading that you are back to work. Great! Dianne

Hi Deanna, Glad to hear your feeling better and back to work. Congratlulations on the weight loss. Wow! Dont let the depression take over. I hope its only temporary as they say it can happen with the surgery. Remember this to shall pass! Getting back into your routine may help!! Take Care.... Sharon
