Surgery on August 17th today is postponed

HI Everyone, My surgery was postponed which I found out yesterday as I was walking out the door to get my final medical clearance. It has something to do with an administrative issue I was told. Bc does not want to do the review because they dont get paid to do it since our insurance is self funded. For a high fee they will but the union says an independent reviewer is cheaper so thats the route they are going. I told the union rep, why get one at all since you already approved the surgery. I already meet the guidelines according to BC for medical necessity and hope this other reviewer is going to go by the same ones otherwise I may not qualify according to them. We'll see what happens. They said I should hear something in a week or so.. Thanks to all who emailed me and for thinking of me. The boards are great. We'll keep you posted. By the way, went to my first support meeting. What an awesome bunch. Finally met Elissa. What a sweetheart! Cant wait for another. Sharon

Hi Dianne, Thanks for the support. I truly believe too if its meant to be it will happen. Although it is frustrating to get this far. I have tried to put it out of my mind AGAIN waiting for the review to come back. It doesnt help to get all stressed over it. Thanks again. Hopefully I too will be on the losing side one day.
