I am so proud of myself
Good evening Delaware,
This morining when I was working out, one of the gym rats said that I was her inspiration. Can you believe that. The girl that told me this works out every day and is in great physical shape.
I inspired her to start to run. She see me training every morning for my 5k run in September. She know I am only 6 months out of surgery. She told me my determination is inspiring her to start running which she never felt she could do. Her goal is to join me in my next race. This is going to be great. My next race is a 10K (6.2miles) run.
I have found so many people supporting me in ths goal. My sister and seval co-workers are going to run with me on September 10. I plan to post a picture of me finishing the race. When I do that I will have completed something I never thought I would do.
I am so happy I had the surgery. I know now what I have been missing, I actually am having more fun now. My husband is also telling me every day how proud he is of me. He is also telling other people. I know this because on of my neighbors made a comment to about how proud he is of me.
Thanks
Carolyn
Way to go Carolyn,
Keep up the good work. Just your comments are inspiring me. I use to like to run in high school (100+ pounds ago). Not that I was light then, but not as big as now. I hope to be able to get back to that and I guess I really don't have an excuse. I'll be rooting for you on the 10th.
Carolyn, I'm not sure if you remember me but I was in your Life Skills class and also your roommate at Christiana Hospital. My surgery was 1-31-06. I was happy to find you as I have had no contact with anyone to see how they are doing.
Congratulation on your accomplishments and keep up the good work. I have lost 67 lbs and I am down to 177 as of today. I feel it has been slow but also very rewarding. Lets keep in touch
Sharon
