I'm stuck on a major plateau and I'm trying to go back to the basics. I've forgotten the maximum amount of carbohydrates and fat that I'm supposed to consume in one day. Can anyone help? Also, any good recipe sites that you know of would be helpful. Thanks!

I was never given stats on fats or carbs....basics would be protein for me. When I see the weight coming up I chop a few from the daily feedings. I wish protein had a crunch and my carb factor would be low! Sorry I could not help much. On this site there is a recipe forum. You might find some good stuff there. I am not adventuous because it would mean another number in the calorie chart I would have to remember. Call me lazy! Debbie

My surgeon also never gave me "numbers" for the carbs. It has always been about portion control and "eat protein first". Sugar was always restricted to 10 grams or less. Emphasis was also placed on fluids, minimum of 60 oz per day of water or zero calorie beverages. Forget the sodas, they will bloat you and in my case gives me gas...we won't go there! Good luck to you! Jean

I was told only 2 -3 servings of Carbs a day and only 2-3 servings of fat a day. Also if you require crunch try glenny's soy chips. You will get 7 gm of protein in 1 serving. hope this helps Carolyn
