Seeking Pureed Ideas...
Looking for foods that a person with cancer can eat....a variety. Pureed is probably the best for her. It has to be very liquidy. All you that have found foods in the pureed stage can you bounce me a recipe or two with items that might be appealing for Gram. She definitely does not like sweets so I would be looking for a veggie type recipe. I think meats might not work....I could not get them to a liquid form or can I? Thanks for the help! Hope you are all well.
Hey Deb, Wonder if Grams would like some soup. I love Progresso macaroni & bean soup. I pureed it the 1st month and liked it a lot. Course the can lasted at least 3 meals. Maybe some homemade 15 bean vegetable soup too!! Lots of protein there. Oh the ideas are endless. Refried beans and melted cheese. I love the crunch. MMMMMM. Course I love it on Tostido's. (Mucho gas)
Miss you and Tim at the meetings.
Hang in there GF. E
She is tired of soup, pudding, and cream of wheat. The beans affect her colon so I can't give that to her. Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think I can complain about my pureed phase anymore because she seems to be more limited than I did.
Hey Gigi if you are out there I would like to have that green bean casserole dish recipe you made for us....I am think I can water that down with chicken broth....Let me know what you used for it. Thanks
Debbie
So sorry about the delay in answering you!
The greenbeans. Smothered them down in very little water with onions and other seasonings (choose the ones grams likes). Put those puppies in the blender and pureed them. Placed in a bowl and added my favorite cheese on top and then put in the microwave to melt the cheese then stirred it all together.
Feel free to add unjury to this as well (once it cools down a bit )
Love ya!
