Hello everyone: I have been reading your posts for months now and have learned so much! But now it is finally my time! My surgery is Monday with Dr. Wynn and I am so excited and soo scared--I am feeling so emotional! I met with Dr. Bianchi yesterday and the anathesiaologist (?) today and when I left St. Francis--I felt such relief that I had actually passed all the tests--I guess- I felt I would fail and not really have the surgery? weird huh? Sooo- what did I do next? Went to the grocery store! The only thing I had'nt done is buy clear liquid "stuff" to get me through the weekend. Any suggestions to help me thru this weekend and beyond? Thanx!

Hello Tami, Chicken broth, lots of sugar free ice pops diet sprite, I remember I was so ready to have surgery, that the liquid diet didn't bother me at all! The night before surgery my husband and I went out to dinner, so I didn't have to cook. He ordered a big meal steak mashed potatoes, gravy veggie, rolls butter, and he had the nerve to order desert! the waitress kept asking me if I wanted anything because all I had was a diet sprite, finally I told her I was having surgery the next morning, so she left me alone. Take care you will be in my thoughts and prayers for a uneventful surgery, and a speedy recovery. Dr. Wynn is the best!!! If you don't have anyone to keep us posted e-mail me with a phone number and I will keep in touch with you and keep everyone on here posted. Dana Have a great weekend!

Tami, remember the chap stick. It'll be your best friend for the 1st couple days. We'll hold a seat for you on the looser's bench. Remember to walk, sip & breathe. Then keep doing it over and over. God speed your recovery. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Thanx everyone! All info is greatly appreciated! I am on my second day of clear liquids and jello and at this point it is not so bad, I am not able to eat the chix broth though--it did not smell or taste yummy to me. I am feeling more calm and I am getting my little overnight bag ready (chapstick included!) So thanx for all the prayers and I will see all you on the losing bench very soon! T
