If you think you cannot do this...their is a good chance you will not be able to do it if you feel like a failure then it will be impossible to be a winner. if you believe support is not needed how will i ever be able to help you if you do not want this beyond anything you ever wanted....and it is not your top priority then how will you save yourself and have a second chance at life if you think having a pouch solves everything then you will be sadly mistaken if the loss of weight is the only thing that happens to you.....then you will be no better emotionally than you were 100lbs ago. if you say i can do this, i am a winner, no one will be able to stop you if you fail at something and you say i have learned from it then your journey will be full of great things and positive actions. if you reach out and say i need help...then you will feel so many hands holding you..you will be overwhelmed if making changes inside you is a top priority then you are learning the true essence of this journey if you realize the pouch is a tool and you are the craftsman then what you will build will not be able to be torn down if you realize that the numbers you lose are secondary to what you are doing in real life...you will meet the most important goal of this journey... it will be the new you...emotionally and physically reinvented if you wait to be a certain weight and then say that is the day i will start living...that day may never come, what will you have....start living now and and allow the weightloss to happen...do not miss out on life because your head and your eyes are fixated on a scale.you will surely miss everything........live now and allow the weightloss to happen and you will never miss anything in life. if you are waking up with a smile then you are having success....build on that first smile and the world is yours....grab some life, it is out there waiting for you

Tom, I must tell you your post are always inspirational . You get right to the point and tell it like it is. What do you do for a living? If you are ever in the Harrington or Rehobeth area I would love to here you speak at a support group and share your story. See you lighter. Joanne

Thanks Tom for the inspiring words. I needed to see those today. You have really helped me...I need HELP! I'm excited, nervous, and a little scared about my surgery next week for hernia and panniculectomy. I've lost 100 pounds since I started this journey a year ago and would go down this road again if I had to. It's not been an easy run, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy. I'm healthier than I've been in 30+ years and am LIVING each day to the limit... Keep the words coming... Hugs, Jean
