Queen for a Day
I have to tell you guys I went to the beauty school today and was Queen for a Day!!! For $25 you get your hair done, pedicure,manicure and makeup. This was my first time but I will definetly go again. If anyone is in the area some Friday let me know and we can go together. They do a super job for their instructer looks at it before you leave. I must say I really feel like a Queen!!! See all lighter. Joanne
Shaughnessy, This school is on 113 in Millsboro. Not to far from Milford. I go back to work Thursday but I am off every other Friday. They only see people Tuesday Thru Friday from 10:15 a.m. until 3p.m. We can get together and go some Friday that I am off. Girl you will feel like a Queen for sure so I am definitely there with you too. It is first come first serve so you want to get there early. I got there at 11:00a.m. See you lighter. Joanne
Joanne..........Its a skinny date!!! We'll do this sometime this summer! I am getting to leave this morning for surgery and I am so dehydrated from that laxative that you have to drink! Oh wow... I could use a haircut and those nails could use some work too. I used to live in Millsboro but never went there.
As for the hernia repair.... I need that done too. Suggest a good doctor?? I just moved back to DE from GA and no one down there wanted to operate on me. I have a double hernia... and the pain is horrid! My insurance kicks in on July 1st so I need to see a doctor right after that. I am trying not to go to Beebe for anything... even pain relief. They scare me... and no one seems to know what to do but to shove ng tubes in me and give me pain meds that give me 2 seconds of relief... ugh!!
Hmmm. Queen Joanne....Who knew that I would be exercising with royalty huh! Sounds like you had fun. I hope your daughter picked up a lot of good information at the meeting tonight. I was very informative for all. I was so glad I could go. I do miss my meetings and regular exercise sessions. I didn't realize how much until I went tonight!

Debbie, My daughter called me when she got back from the meeting. She said how friendly all was and she was really glad she went. It is a small world. She said Tim is one of her regular customers for coffee. I do realize how you feel about missing meetings. They are so important to all of us. I walked tonight with my walking partner for 50 minutes. I would of loved that cold room afterwards. Hey I love swreaters now. Guess you better put that fleece blanket in the car for times like tonight. I think we can learn so much from older citizens. Them ladie's from the red hat society was so interesting to watch today. They were all doing Queen for a day and acting like teenagers. They made me feel old but I felt like a Queen when I left. So yes you never know who you are exercising with or talking too. I guess we should treat all like royality. Ecspecially ourselves. We are all Queens and Kings in my eyes. We just need to learn to treat ourselves like we deserve to be treated. Something we would of never thought about doing before WLS. So to all you Kings and Queens, See you lighter. Queen Joanne
Belinda, I am honored to be called your friend. I am so glad you are moving right along. This will all be behind you before you know it and I will be sitting beside you on that loser's bench.
