2 down, 4 to go
Hi all,
I am 2 tests closer to being a real loser. I had my pumonary function test on Monday, and my sleep study is scheduled for the 19th. PMRI is working on my psych and nutrition class schedules. My pcp nurs, Sandi---praises to her everyone!---is finding out which gastro I should use for my endoscopy. Cardio clearance will be the last and final one. It's getting closer and closer! BTW, I did choose to stick with my original choice of the Lap-RNY. I called Dr. Irgau's office and discussed this with the nurse...she said he will honor whichever choice I make. Then she said she would get my info faxed to PMRI to get things rolling over there. WOO-HOO!
I also went to the Pain Center on Rt.1 in Lewes...saw Dr. Somori. He put me on Oxy for my back pain. I took one at 6:30 pm and another at about 11 pm...This stuff took me out completely for almost 2 full days. The pills are 15mg and I took them per the instructions on the bottle. But after only two doses, I was really messed up, so I won't be using those. I need to be alert and awake. I will be getting the injections in my facet joints for pain control next time. I will keep updating as I go along. Also, the pulmonary function test went really well so the results should be ok..yes, as a smoker there are some restrictiveness issues but I still did very well. take care all.
Hi Kathy.......It sounds like we are in the same boat......waiting to become a LOSER!!!!!!! I am having lap RNY with Delmarva Bariatric Center in Salisbury, MD and I am going to my pre-op appointment this morning. I have my EKG next Tuesday, and then I believe that everything will be in order to be submitted to insurance.........lets just hope that I get approved the first time!!! Anyway, good luck .......my thoughts and prayers are with you on this journey.......take care..........shaughnessy
