Hi All, its been along time since I been in the message boards. Its 2am in the morning and I can't sleep so here I'am. I see alot of new people and still some familiar names and faces. Hi Elissa, Rob, glad everything is well. Rob glad your surgery was a success. I will be having a tummy tuck and my arms done next month, waiting to hear from the doctor's office to see when I'm scheduled. I have a hernia so Dr. Wynn is going to repair that too. I'm really nervous about the plastic surgery, I hope that I do well. I have great news!!! I'am a grandmom now, its a boy, his name is Brady. He was born January 28th. He is so adorable and such a good happy baby. I'm so glad I had WLS so I will be able to play with him and not feel restricted to what I can do. I'm sure he will keep me running alot. I can't believe its been 2 years since my surgery, where did the time go. I hope everyone else is doing well; Carla, Tammy, Linda, Deb,Val etc;. For all you new people, best of luck to you on your journey. Take care

Hi Sandy, How are you? You really gotta get yourself to a support group mtg. I bet after the PS you will look even more fabulous. Is insurance gonna pick up anything? I know you were trying? Which Dr. will be doing the PS? Gosh I wish you good luck and a speedy recovery too. I bet the baby is getting alot of personality and smiling now. Fun isn't it? Okay chickee, so glad you posted this update. TT you soon. Elissa

Hi Elissa, Dr. MacRae is going to do my PS, she seems like she is a good doctor and has done lots of these surgeries. I remember she did one of the meetings of PS. No, I couldn't get approval from the insurance company. I don't understand how its so easy for some people and so difficult for others. But I won't have to worry about the hospital or the antesigolist, because I'm having my hernia repair so the insurance will cover that part of it. I will just have to pay the plastic surgureon. I'm scared of this surgery, more so then the RNY. I heard its so painful. My daughter is going to help me until I can get around on my own. I just hope she can manage with me and the baby!! I just want to get it over with. Have a great day and I will keep you posted.

Hi Sandy,
Congratulations on becoming a grandmom. That is so great. Please keep us posted on your upcoming surgery. I'm hoping that I go back in for the hernia repair soon, but I won't know for two weeks when I see the surgeon (Dr. Gianookis, the hrnia expert). Still amazed that six surgeons were not able to find the hernias, but I like the results of the abdominal dermioplasty (much better than TT) since it takes out that back fat also, so I can't complain too much. Get ready for quite a recovery since it is really different than the Rny. Wishing you the best and looking forward to seeing the new you again.

Hi Linda, yeah its been along time. You look great in the pic, how you feeling? Its really cool being a grandmom, I love it!!! It brings back all the memories when we had our kids. He has some kidney problems and can't hear in his right ear. He has been thru alot since he was born. But he is a good natured baby. Hopefully everything will work out for him. I will be glad to get my tummy tuck, after losing over 100 pounds I still have a fat tummy!! I will be so strange when its gone. I had a big stomach all my adult life. I'm scared to death of this surgery, I guess because its more painful. I will keep you all posted, I'm waiting to hear from Dr. Wynn's office to when in July. Have a good summer. Take care
Sandy
