success !!!
If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all.
don't live by numbers on the scale.....live by the smile on your face
don't make goals that are impossible to achieve......take baby steps and success will be in your future.
don't feel you need to be a certain size to be happy......be happy every day you accomplish the goals of that day.
don't think this journey is impossible....when you look at the journey, it does look long and takes dedication to make it, but as you accomplish the little goals each step of the way you will see the journey is no longer than it needs to be for you to achieve success.
don't fear setbacks and mountains you might have to climb....for every set back and mountain i climbed i look back and if i had to do it again i would not remove either of them for in the weakest and worst times of this journey i was able to find strength and realization of what this journey is about.....weightloss is apart of it but it is not the goal...the goal is the new you no matter what the weight numbers say...for if you are always looking down at the scale life will surely be passing you by....but if you are looking around you life cannot pass someone by who is grabbing it................live now....don't ever say when i get to this number i will start to live.....for that number may never happen but life is for sure....don't allow one hour to pass you by or one minute to skip passed you.......grab it and hold it because it is yours to have. that is the true goal. that is success !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tom !! Thanks, I needed to read that. You are so inspirational and have such a good attitute. I have been so bumbed out with my last surgery and the scales. I gained 16 lbs after my hernia repair and T/T.I have taken 8 of that off but it is real discourgaging to be heavier after surgery. My Dr. has told me to keep off the scales. He says that is what wrong with people who are sucessful, that we depend on the scales to much. I know he is right but I love the way you put it. Funny I tell people this all the time but after reading your post I know I need to practice what I preach myself. This really hit home for me. See you lighter. Joanne
