Lost 200 pounds and I'm walking in the Breast Cancer 3-Day (60 miles over 3 days)
Hi!
Thanks to God and Dr. Irgau, my Gastric Bypass Surgery (surgery date - 1/3/05) has helped me lose 200 pounds. To celebrate my victory and to raise funds for Breast Cancer education and research, I am walking in the Breast Cancer 3-Day. This October (6th to 8th), I'll be walking 60 miles over 3 days. I need your support!
I've agreed to raise at least $2,200 in donations. Would you please consider making a donation of $25? All proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.
Please go to www.the3day.org - click on Donate - select Philadelphia and enter my Participant Last Name (McNair) to make an online donation. If you wish to make a donation by mail, send me an email ([email protected]) and I'll send you the Donation Form.
Please keep in mind how far I'm walking -- and how hard I'll have to train. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Sincerely,
Cassandra McNair
Cassandra,
You're are an inspiration. I wish that I could join you but Team Gastric will be flying (biking) the weekend prior in the MS150 Bike to the Bay. Keep plugging away and training hard. Maybe someday we'll run a half-marathon together. My brother is doing the Bike across Virginia next month (400 mile - 4 or 5 days) and I am just excited to get the doctor's release from my abdominal dermioplastic procedure so I can return to the gym.
Already checked out the site and left a contribution, now the onus is on you to do the deed. Keep me updated.
Go get 'em,
Rob
ps. Sent you an email.
