CPAP and Sleep Study

I am having my surgery with Dr Irgua on June 2nd. Here is the problem. The office scheduled the surgery and I still havent gotten clearance from the Pulmonologist. I had a second sleep study last night and MaryEllen from St Francis says that they will STAT my results to the Pulmonologist and that I shouldnt reschedule my surgery. What do you guys think? Has anyone been through this? I have my pre-op appt on 5/26 still need to get the clearance from the Primary Dr they requested as well. HELP Kim

Keep doing everything to be prepared for that surgical date. A lot of people don't get the actual approval til the night before, so it's best to be ready. I've had a few surgical dates, one of which was canceled the night before the surgery. There are a lot of reasons -- usually it's insurance, though. I think the pulmonologists' office will do as they said. Just be prepared for surgery and don't fret too much. Dianne
