Hi all, I am sad to say I have to cancel the Harrington Support Group for May 18th. I went to see my surgeon today and am getting my hernia repair and T/T done on Tuesday, May 16th so I will still be in the hospital. . Sorry to all who look forward to this meeting. We will have our next meeting on June 15th. I will look forward to seeing all then and you can check out my new body. The Dr. said flat stomach and no scars. Seeing will be believing. I can't even imagine this at this point but I do feel confident in my Dr. and the work he does. I will be in Washington Hospital Center in D.C. See all lighter. Joanne

Happy you are going to have it done soon! That is great! Good luck to you and I hope its the flatest stomach you ever saw. I so want my legs done. I can't stay exercising with them flopping around. Debbie

Debbie, How well I know about the legs too. Start complaining to every Dr. that will listen. That is my next plan of action after I get thru this one. I have a mass on my left hip and bad knees . I hope to use this to my advantage. Email me and I'll tell you a good Dr. to see in Wilmington. See you lighter Joanne

Trish, Thanks!! Tell Ralph we can compare bellies the next time I see him. LOL!!! Good luck with your surgery. You know I will be thinking of you. Tell him to call me Thursday at work. My prayers are with you. We can heal together. I did all my FML and got my disability paperwork today.I see Dr. Mondero and Uncle Bob sees Dr. Cooper both tomorrow. I want to get all this behind me before surgery.I know I can't change any of this so I will accept whatever. I have faith that God will pull me thru whatever he brings me to. See you lighter. Aunt Jo

Joanne, Good luck to you on your upcoming surgery. I have a consult with a plastic surgeon in Middletown DE on Wednesday, 17 May. My one year anniversary is 23 May. I've lost 100 pounds plus/minus a few pounds. My tummy has a lot of excess skin/lumpy/bumpy. Since it's been getting warmer, I have a bad rash and may have a hernia at my hysterectomy site. I hope it will qualify as "medical necessity". I'll keep you all posted on my experience. PS - I haven't posted in a long while (since they changed the web site) I wasn't able to reply to anyone. But, that didn't stop me from reading! I'm with you in spirit! Good luck to you! Jean Dover, DE

Jean, Good luck on your consult. You are doing the right thing with the rash. The key to getting plastics paid for is good documention. Complain about everything. If you do have a hernia, it might be a blessing in disquise for that T/T. I will never forget going to the Dr's upset and him saying he was glad I had a hernia. I thought he had lost his mind until he explained my free pass for a T/T. Take care and I will talk to all lighter after my return from D.C. Joanne
