Have someone else look at it. Can you see your PCP?
Topic: Need someone to talk to ,Having problems healing
I had the laproscopic RNY bypass on the 16th of august and on the 18th had emergency surgery for
bowel obstruction. I now have a nasty incision that isn't healing very well ( Dr says it's fine) it oozes alot . I'm in lots of discomfort some pain. I'm not able to get myself in a good mind set especially when I see people that had the surgery after me walking around like nothing happened ,It's really tough. I am starting to feel like I'm never going to heal and be able to live a normal life. I am wondering if anyone else had anything like this happen to them after surgery. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi ... just want to say good luck with your surgery. Dr. Bell was my doctor. I would give them a call and just ask them the status of yiur paperwork. I found his office to be extremely helpful and very pleasant whenever I had questions.

Topic: RE: protien shakes
I bought some plain powder and a sample pack of shakes and can't take them anyone want to try them I paid 65.00 would sell for 50.00 or break it up and sell separate I live on the shoreline
Topic: RE: protien shakes
The only ones I could seem to stomach were the "Pure Protein" shakes. You can find them at Vitamin Shoppe, GNC and some grocery stores. They are ready to drink and come in several flavors (Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, banana, cookies and cream and peanut butter cup). They have 35 grams of protein each, so two shakes gets you through for the day. I have to say I got REALLY sick of them by the end of 3 weeks or so, but they got me to soft foods. Now I pretty much ignore the protein shakes altogether and go for light cheeses and greek yogurt to get my protein in.
Best of luck.
