Hey there, I use Doctor Valin/Doctor McMillian in New Haven CT.  I am a gastric bander who did not make it with the band. I am having my revision done on Jan 3 to Gastric bypass.  Give them a call. If your doctor wont lisen you need to find one who will.
Good luck

Topic: 5 FOODS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

1. MILK: Milk contains calcium and complex carbohydrates which can boost metabolism. This will keep insulin levels low, which prevents your body from thinking it needs to store fat.

2. GRAINS: Whole grains also help with weight loss. The fiber helps to boost metabolism and help you burn more calories. They also make you feel more full so you snack less often and they help to keep insulin levels low.

Central Connecticut Cares, now has 67 members and held its last monthly meeting of 2010 in Middletown from 10:30 to 12noon. We are not affiliated with any one hospital or surgeon and our members have had success experiences from 3 weeks to 7 plus years.
Here is what you missed:
handouts from OH to guide us through the holidays
Samples of products and supplements (Thanks to our LIPO friends in NY - Maryellen)
Nutritious and yummy recipes
and the offer of support and discussion of our common issues with our weight loss surgery.
Peer support is a significant factor in the success story of weight loss surgery. If you are succeeding, come tell us about it, brag, share, help us reach our goals. If you are strruggling or hit a rough spot in your journey, come join in and let us share our similar experiences to help get you back on track.
JOIN a support group of your choice, the journey is more fulfilling when traveling with others.
Have Happy, Healthy Holidays and a Happy New Year!     Dan

Missing for two weeks. She's a very skittish rescue that got away in East Haddam and was last seen in Colchester a week ago. She's microchipped and wearing a collar.

She belongs to my good friend who is just heartbroken! If you see her (or HAVE seen her) please email me as soon as possible.
