Ok, First I am so sorry that 16 people read this post and non felt the need or heart to respond. That saddens me.. This is a support group forum and when I see lots of visitors and no responses.. So here I am.. Sweetie you will be fine.. We all go through the same thing. And everyone after us will go through the same as we did. It's never going to change we all have the same feelings and thoughts. It's scarey when we think of the unknown... You will be fine.. Take someone with you that is fun to be with that makes you laugh so that your not sitting there just waiting. Feel free to make jokes and laugh. Don't be scared I promise it will be over faster then you even know it. Listen when you started they did all kinds of tests am I right? well do you think if they thought you were going to die or it would come out with bad results that they would allow you to do it? NOOOOO... I felt the same way last week when I went into surgery.. They will not do anything to hurt you and if something goes wrong they can fix it that's why they are called Doctors. So with that said.. I'm so excited for you. I am on the losing side now and down over 3 lbs already. I am still very filled with gas and fluid so I am not doing my first weigh in till week 2. You are going to do great.... I would like to come and see you when you get there. My name is Angela Howell.. You will know who I am by my picture. How many days do they think you will be there? And where the heck is middlesex ct ? I'm sorry that your family is not supporting you the way they should but know you have us here and your children.. Oh and not forgetting your best friend... wtg best friend.

I will be at Middlesex on Tuesday for the surgery. I have had over two months since my approval and that was way too long for me to have to wait. My brain just goes wild with what if's. This past week I got my blood treated every day at the hospital and it just made it so real for me. I have four small children and I just worry worry worry.

I'm so glad your attending one of the support groups. I believe its very importent to maintain this also while losing and while maintaining so we don't gain it back. RNY tomorrow? I didn't understand that?

Thank you for posting this Angie. I live in New London County and was trying to find support groups locally. I attend Middlesex Hospital Support Group and love it. But it is god to know there are additional options especially in winter. I will be an RNY tomorrow.

Hi. This is my first time posting. My surgery is tomorrow. I have been crying all day. I am not scared of the surgery. I am trying to pinpoint my crying. One thing I know is my children and best friends have been very supportive. My four siblings not so much. I grew up with dysfunction..obviously..or I would not have become so fat. I wrote my loved ones asking for support about a month ago. none of them plan to come see me in the hospital. Too far for one..45 minutes..have my friend who is bringing me call another so she knows i made it off the table, otherwise she is working and will be too tired. Another one who would have to trek 1 1/2 hours..and besides that's what they pay nurses for. Another who I have not heard from at all. I am divorced with grown children, live alone. I am so greatful for my childrens support, and my friends driving me, staying over when I get home. It just hurts so bad that these people who are my family don't want to change their schedule for me. Has anyone else experienced this?

We need your help when it comes to plastic surgery. I know being at 315 lbs 7 years ago and losing 70 then regaining 35 and now starting again with Gastric Bypass at 290 I will need a small amount of surgery on my belly. I am pretty small everywhere else. You have so much knowledge to bring this Connecticut board. Please please post and don't ever feel like your posting to much even if nobody responds to the posts. Post recipes, info, or anything you want to help us.
Now for you... You did amazing 180 lbs is amazing.. wow... 30 lbs is nothing sweetie.. Talk to me a little about what your doing for meals? What do you feel you did wrong to gain back the 30? and how do you think we can help you get that 30 off? Of course you got my support..

Ok!!!! Lets do this sweetie.. It's easy and you will do fine. If you tell me the hospital your in I would love to come visit you. That's up to you thought. I know you can do this. Remember no matter how hard it is to get up and walk DO IT.. I want you walking every hour.. Make this your goal

Breath in your breathing thingy majig LOL
