Welcome to Alaska - I mean CT - with all the snow this year one would think we are in Alaska!
Any way my Doctor Papasavous and Doc Tischler in Hartford & Glastonbury had the first Center of Excellence in CT. They are part of Connecticut Surgical Group who operate out of Hartford Hospital.  They (and myself) were just featured last night on Hartford Hospital's Advancing Medicine Weight Loss Surgery TV show on WFSB @ 7:30.
Its probably a haul for you but they are excellent.  There is 1 bypass Doc that was removed from a local hos that I won't mention here -  u can private me for his name so you won't go to him.

Cool--I guess I will need a surgeon to follow up with.  And how about a physician...?  Any suggestions?  I want one who knows the ins and outs of what medications I can and can't have....
Thanks!!

Kristin, welcome to CT (when you get here!) I am a patient of Dr. Aranow's well.... Middlesex Hospital has an active support group.. I live in North Madison and can make it to Wallingford in 20-25 minutes... My neighbor has a great sail boat and I am sure she would share info with you... Please keep us posted with your progress.

So lucky for a private room. I had a semi-private but that was 3 years ago. Do they have a separate bariatric floor now?

I agree with everyone about Dr. Aranow. He doesn't take new patients from other doctors unless you move away from them so you are in luck.
