Topic: Recipe Swap at the Long Island Conference
There is going to be a table at the Long Island Conference for everyone to bring copies of their favorite WLS friendly recipes to swap and share. With the holidays and holiday parties fast approaching , this will be a good chance to try something new and share one of your favorites. I would suggest making 50+ or so copies of each recipe. I'm sure the hotel has a copier if someone runs short. I'll try and bring a ream of paper so there should'nt be an issue using the copier. See everyone at the conference.
Topic: RE: ALL YOUR BARIATRIC QUESTIONS ANSWERED
I have a couple of questions regarding our daily water requirements.
#1: Do you agree to use half your body weight in ounces as your daily water intake?
#2: And 1 ounce for every minute after 15 minutes of aerobic activity in addition to your daily intake?
I try and do both, but definitly #2.
#3: Caffinated beverages. I have heard they can now count 100% towards our daily intake, but I still only count them as 50%.
Thanks!

Topic: RE: New to the Message Board
Deb, congrats on your surgerey! Unfortunately this particular board is not very active. I hope you get some responses. I suggest you stay active with a local support group..... Members are usually more than willing to share. Check out facebook as well... ther are many "virtual" support groups to help with ideas there... I know one group from Long Island that is producing a "bariatric friendly" cook book. ( http://www.facebook.com/#!/LIPO.Nation ) If you are planning to attend the National Obesity Help conference 2 weeks from today on Long Island, you will find MANY resources there to answer this and many other questions..... for more info on that and to get a discounted ticket.. .. http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=201226226571199 . Stay in touch! Dan

Hi Everyone!
I am 4 weeks Post-Op. I have had no issues what so ever, but I am struggling with new ideas on what to eat for my meals.
Any suggestions would be helpful..
