Topic: RE: How did 9 years slip by??!!
Hi,
I'm an old timer too. It's been 7 years for me. I can't believe time has gone by so fast. Dr. Valin did my surgery, and I would go to him again if I had to do it over. I started out at 245 lbs, and am now lurking around 130. I've been a little higher, and I've been a lot lower. I have a lot of chronic pain issues now, so sometimes I just don't feel like eating due to pain.
This is a wonderful tool I've been given, and I'm proud of myself for not have abused it over the years. I have no regrets about getting this surgery.
I wish all that are getting, or have just had this surgery well..

Hi - I could NOT ever get a good fill with my band - it was either too tight or too loose - my band only had a totall of 4cc's - so there is not a whole lot of options but I believe the realize band is 10cc''s - I had Geoff Nazdam at St Rae's - he was great but doesn't do revisions. I am finding it a little hard to get through to Bell's office - even with my surgeon talking with him -I did get through on Friday - we are checking on insurance procedures!

He and his office are great - fantastic experience! I would not go to anyone else. I just put my history on my profile if you want to read about my last four months after having VSG surgery.
Best wishes

Topic: RE: anyone have Dr Papasavas from Hartford Hosp?
Dr Papasavos has an excellent reputation. I had a great experience! I was extremely anxious about having surgery. Now I am sorry that I waited so long to do this. Lost 26 lbs since January 12th.

I totally agree. CT surgical Group is phenomenal. I was informed all the way through the process. Excellent care.

Topic: 2 days post surgery!
2 days after surgery and all is well appears to me. Pain is tolerable and soreness abaiting quickly, Do have an issue with gas bubbles forming in belly and not passing thru to intestines but gurgling around in stomach and making gas pains, somewhat intense, getting up and moving around helps but is this a life long challenge? I hope not. be funny if after every sip I was up and around for a bubble, no no straws or taking in any air deliberately when drinking. Anyone else have an issue like this...
