In Episode 20, we get to announce a new sponsor, give some shout outs to some of our most prolific BTV pimps and pimpettes, toss around some protein, and highlight another great weight loss surgery blog and recipe website.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • We get to announce a new sponsor
  • Lynnda and Toni “attempt" to send thanks but sometimes, the brain just shuts off.
  • Protein supplements, even after 5 years, we still take them.
  • It really is a lot of protein to try to get in with eating alone.
  • Lynnda thinks of omelets when she hears our latest website recommendation.
  • We highlight another great blogger who not only talks about weight loss surgery, but plastic surgery too. She has great recipes.
Come on over and join the fun.

Congradulations   Dr. Tishler is a great DR isn't he.  Do you go to the support meetings., I do and the new format is great where they divide into groups.  Feel free to PM ma anytime I love writing to folks who are doing this journey and especially Dr. Tishler Patients

Thanks so much for the info.   I have been trying to find a new therapist for months now and was thrilled when I got a prompt (1 business day) call back from Dr. Wirth.  Luckily she had a cancellation and I was able to see her the next day.  Based on our first meeting I found her to be knowledgeable, constructive and challenging.  A RARE find in a therapist these days (at least to me).  So thanks again!

Joie

Well Tammy I am 3 years and 3 months out- and maintaining my 150 pound loss easily.
I have come across many people who had gastric bypass or a lap band and my experience is those of us who went with bypass have an easier time eating overall. You banders and food getting stuck- yeesh, I'll pass on feeling like a piece of chicken is stuck in my esophogus. No- i can't eat a huge bowl of ice cream- but that's what keeps me from weighing 300 pounds. I can eat a few bites, I can eat a handful of m and m's.I am happy. I can drink a venti sugar free latte from starbucks- and do so on a nearly daily basis. Life is awesome. I wear a size 12. I had a tummy tuck and I feel great. Tammy- you gave the band 3 years- granted you had a pregnancy in there.... time to try something new!!!! Go for it!!!!!
